The Sterling Mid Arbor reel starts as a solid billet of 6061T6 aluminum. The Sterling reel is then machined to exacting tolerances and hard anodized for lifetime durability in fresh or salt water. The Sterling Mid Arbor design allows maximum line capacity, rapid retrieve and reduced line coiling. A fully enclosed center mounted Rulon disc drag protects 7X tippets or can stop a bonefish on a sizzling run. An exposed rim allows you to palm the counterbalanced, quick release spool for more control.
The knurled bar stock drag knob is slip proof, even with wet, slimy or cold fingers. The distinct and dignified silver frame and spool will compliment your finest fly rod.
